Top 10 Crochet Supplies

Before you know it Christmas will be here and I’ll be leaving hints to my family and friends about my wish list. What do you wish for this Holiday season? Here are my Top 10 Crochet Supplies wishes for this year.

1. Clover Takumi Getaway Soft Touch Crochet Hooks

I love this set of crochet hooks. I have a couple of the smaller sizes, a D and an E, and I love how they feel. The cute little pink case is cool too.

2. Clover Lock Ring Markers

I’ve never used the locking stitch markers but do use the slip on ones. I’m always losing these too so having a large supply on hand will make me happy.

3. Comfort Grip Crochet Hook

Although these look cool I learned from Teresa of CrochetGeek (video link) on Youtube that I can just use a pencil grip.  So if you can’t find these you can always buy the trendy pencil grips from Staples. Do you use grips on your hook?

4. Boye crochet Master Steel and Aluminum hook Set

This is my dream set all perfectly snug in their own little case. All the steel hooks and Aluminum hooks are included and if I keep my fingers crossed I won’t lose one. Where Oh where did my little F hook Go?

5. Bamboo Crochet hooks

I used to buy only bamboo hooks, not sure what happened to them as I only have one left and that was given to me as a gift from a yarn supplier. Again, hooks and stitch markers are my friends.

6. Little Crochet: Modern Designs for Babies and Toddlers

This book by Linda Permann is definitely on my wishlist. I want to learn how to get past the squares, circles and rectangles I make to actually shaping a garment into something that fits. If you don’t get this book a great alternative is her class Beyond Rectangles on Craftsy.com.

7. Provo Craft Crochet Tools – I – medium hook

This is an ergonomic hook that has a removable handle. You just add the hook you need into the handle. Not sure how this will work so I’m just wishing for one size. I wonder if it will fall out during crocheting? Do you use this? How does it work?

8. Lion Brand Yarn Tote bag

This bag seems to carry a lot of yarn and projects. I reviewed the Namaste Hermosa bag which is my all time wish but if you’re going to buy a crochet bag for me this one will do.

9. I Can’t Believe I’m crocheting cables, bobbles and lace

I borrowed this DVD from the library and enjoyed it. You can stop it when you need to and review the steps. I wouldn’t mind owning it. You probably should know the basic stitches though as well as how to read a pattern.

10. Susan Bates Silvalume crochet hook set

I already own this set (minus the aforementioned f hook) and love it. But I’m including it here because I can never have too many hooks.
