4 Tips for Running Your Crochet Business Blog for $30 a Month

  1. Utilize free webinars and telesummits – treat them the same way you would a paid program. Show up for each session, take notes and follow through on assignments.
  2. Purchase unlimited long distance phone package from Skype
  3. Replace current tools with free tools – fax, social media management, accounting software, digital file storage, program delivery, scheduling software and anything else that helps you run your business
  4. Invest in domain hosting – cost can be as low as $10/month

I met Loralee in a challenge I did last year – Biztopia. I shared in the webinar yesterday that what I learned in this challenge helped me boldly step into my role as responsible business owner.

My business might not be selling crochet any longer but I’m happy with that. I crochet for mental health plus I can bless others with the many handcrafted gifts I make each year.

Biztopia will start again on the 21st of January. I know, another challenge? You don’t have to participate at all. You can just take in the information little by little as you wish.

Take advantage of the free teaching and free resources like the Business Assessment. You’ll love the host – Amythest Mahoney but you might even like the theme this year – Steam Punk!

Sign up for Biztopia to build your email list and your community. (That’s an affiliate link but really unless you upgrade for the recordings the link is simply a link.)

A couple of things to note for #31CBBC peeps: (all are optional)

  • Comments are welcome and encouraged :)
  • Visit the FB group and add your post for the day to the pinned post if you’d like to receive at least 2-comments on your post.
  • Join the Crochet Business Blogger G+ Community
  • Community Event: Friday Facebook Fanpage Hop-a-long
  • Add your blog url to the #31CBBC linky (not the post url) – this will help you identify who is participating
  • As you are visiting other bloggers, take note of any similarities you have or complimentary projects/services you have. This is a great time to jot down the blog name and get to know the blogger behind the blog. ;)
  • Don’t stress on writing a post each day. A picture with your thoughts, a video, a top 5 list, or simply a quote on why you like crochet all counts as a post.
