Granny Donates 900 Blankets

Well she did that and more. Not too long ago she donated her 900th blanket and is proudly on her way to crocheting her 1,000th.

Cancer Awareness: It’s Not Pink Anymore

The Knots of Love non-profit in Costa Mesa, California donates hundreds of caps, both knitted and crocheted, to cancer, burn, and surgery patients. Their latest project involved a multi-generational community of crafters who transformed 248 inches of yarn over 55 hours into a piece of art.
“Yarn bombing” The LAB — covering it with knitted or crocheted yarn — hopefully makes “people smile the same way we do when a cancer patient wears one of our caps,” said Knots of Love founder and Executive Director Christine Fabiani in the release.
