[#31CBBC] JULY 2012: 10 Before You Send

You’ve written your eBook, your crochet pattern or just completed your latest crocheted hat – you want the whole world to know. You are ready to start your campaign but Wait – Do Not Press Start.

Before starting your campaign you should set up some necessary partnerships and schedule some activities to make your product launch more profitable for you. If you have more people talking about you and your product all around the net at the same time as you release your new product, you might surprise yourself with the financial rewards.
Be sure you have everything set up like your email list, your shopping cart, your photographs if it is a product or if it is an eBook your cover.

Following these 10 Steps Below will Insure Your Next Product Launch Succeeds.

  1. Speak to 10 potential blogs and set up guest blogging opportunities on your launch date
  2. Schedule 5 or more reviews of your new pattern
  3. Plan giveaways on 5 – 10 blogs (the more the better) of your new pattern or eBook
  4. Schedule a Twitter interview. Have someone talk to you about your new pattern or eBook or blog series. If you have people using the same hashtag the buzz will get around.
  5. Schedule a giveaway to people who share on Facebook – be sure to have a conversation time set so people will be around to chat.
  6. Write or hire someone to write a press release and submit it to local news stations or news blogs
  7. Advertisements – either newsletter ads or ads you place on other blogs or forums – be sure to test these and make sure they are linking properly
  8. Write 3 – 5 articles (more if possible) and spread them out online at various article directories with a link to your email list for this campaign
  9. When writing a blog post be sure to make it sticky by adding a photo with a taste of your article or product. Have your followers pin it and share comments.
  10. Google + is often overlooked but remember to pop in over there and add pictures or reviews of your product.
