{Day 6} 31 Days of Craft Show Preparations – Designing Your Booth

My first show was a flop so take these tips from veteran craft show sellers to heart. Be prepared. It might be a good idea to make a check list and follow along until the day of your show.

Enjoy the experience at first and then worry about making money. ~ Noadi

A great piece of advice from Noadi is that if you don’t have time to prepare, skip the show for now. There is a lot of work and time that goes into a show and it’s best if you do it at a time that works for you and your family.

I’m following along with Molly of mollyeleen.wordpress.com in her 31 Days of Preparing for Her First Craft Show series. To follow along, scroll to the bottom of this post for details.

Today Molly shares how she made a triangle banner out of vintage fabric scraps. For your crochet booth it might be nice to make a granny triangle banner in your shop colors or in every color of the rainbow. Check out Carina’s Crafts and Crochet with Raymond for granny triangle patterns. Another idea might be to make solid triangles and embroider your shop’s name onto them.

Noadi gives her tips for great craft show displays like keeping it neat and bring extras. Mona shares her tips for displaying and selling art. She’s sold at fairs for about 20 years and offers her words of advice to newbies.
