2 Essential Entrepreneurial Tips for Newbies

blogelina fear not/discipline

You might think I went over the deep end BUT hear me out. Today I got a message from Tanya (Blogelina) and she shared 29 Essential Tips for Online Entrepreneurs – Take Action!

In business you need to:

  • Fear Not or as Joyce Meyer says “Do it Afraid!”.
  • Discipline is Your Friend. I’ve said this at least 20 times but I’ll say it again. I had a reality slap earlier this year when someone told me that I didn’t need marketing help, I needed discipline. Yikes! They were 100% on target.

  1. Great advice! I find I get so much more done when I have a plan and stick to it!

  2. I do believe that discipline is key! I’m very dedicated when it comes to writing my fiction!

    • Sophie, Discipline is the secret. It is the difference between someone who succeeds and someone who doesn’t. The successful person took Action and that takes discipline.

  3. Sara, in a teleseminar I just did (“From Freelance to Freedom”) I delivered similar tips. Two of my faves are to “be grateful every day” and to be “consistent and persistent.” The 2nd one comes from a wonderful Calvin Coolidge quote where he said:
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence & determination alone are omnipotent.”
    Thanks! ~Debra

    • Debra, I was actually registered for that but missed it. Isn’t Michelle doing another one with you?

I agree, persistence is another great tip for entrepreneurial newbies. I remember the story about Bill Porter, a salesman who had cerebral palsy. He was given a tough sales route and what made him succeed is persistence. Even when people continually said NO, slammed the door on his face, called him names, he kept going back. He even made top seller. 🙂
