What is Guest Blogging?
It is simply blogging on someone’s blog. Instead of writing a blog post for your blog you’ll be writing a post for another blog.
You’re welcome to be a guest blogger here on Crochet Business Blog or on Momwithahook Crochet Journal. Susan D’s blog crochetaddictuk also takes guest bloggers.
Just be bold and ask. Most bloggers will welcome you on their blogs.
How does guest blogging help your blog?
You are stretching your wings. You’ll be in more places where potential readers and customers are. (remember Nicole Dean and her blog tour?)
With each guest blog post you get a byline which links back to your blog. I know when I read a great post I always check the author out. How about You?
NOTE: When writing for other sites do not link to self-promoting or affiliate links. This is frowned upon by professional bloggers and Google. If the link is relevant to the topic it is okay to link out. Your link will be in the bio box.
P.S. I like to search the hosts’ blog to see if they written on the topic before. I will then link to relevant posts on that blog.
Today’s Assignment:
Contact another crochet blogger, work out a blog post, and guest blog. If you do 2 or 3 guest posts each month you’re doing a great job.
