Hookers Claim Your Corner: Choose One Thing
In Hooking for Cash I detail 10 ways to earn from your blog. If you haven’t purchased it yet now would be a good time to do that. I know, I know a plug for a self published eBook – nothing is free right?
I’m showing you how others, including myself make money online and this is one example – I wrote an eBook and now I’m using it as a way to teach others how to blog for money.
10 Ways to Make Money with Your Crochet Blog
Take a quick peek at this page which highlights the 10 ways and pick one. Scroll down to download a sample of the book.
Example: I’ll choose affiliate marketing aka partnering with companies as I am promoting my eBook through this series.
Do you have an Etsy shop? then your method will be selling products.
Do you sell advertising on your blog? then your method will be sponsorships or ad networks.
Now I know it’s tempting to do them all because most Americans have been brought up on the ‘more is better’ mantra but for this series one is plenty.
When you first learn to crochet you want to crochet everything in sight, it really doesn’t matter what it is. How many dish cloths do you have? How many miles of chains? How many scarves or hats do your relatives and friends have?
Yes, you do love your hooks and yarn. However, as time passed and your hooking got better so did your decision-making.
You searched for the perfect yarn, the perfect pattern and in some cases the perfect hook. You took your time to really understand the pattern before using your ‘good’ yarn. You may have even started out with your icky yarn just to be safe.
See the difference? you went slowly. You took your time. You processed things. You learned what you needed to know before beginning your project and what happened?
You ended up with a super soft luxurious sweater. Yes, sometimes giving your undivided attention to one partner {I mean project :)} is worth it.
Today’s Assignment:
Claim your corner of the crochet market. Buy the eBook, choose one of the income streams or come up with one of your own.

HMMM, I’m guessing that since I just got the email notifying me that I have been accepted into Leonie Dawson’s affiliate network (yes, I love her workbook just that damned much!), I am going to choose affiliate marketing!
