My Life in Pictures – Pinterest
I love Pinterest – if I don’t watch myself I can waste a good 2 or 3 hours on there. There’s something about pictures especially pictures of crafts that carries me away.
How can Pinterest help your Crochet Blog?
Since Pinterest boards are indexed by Google they can be surprising traffic magnets to your articles and posts. Here are a couple of boards that are Crochet Specific:
- Momwithahook’s patterns – I post all my patterns onto this board
- Free Easy Crochet Patterns – this is a group board which means more people pin and see your work
- Top Favorite Crochet Patterns – this is another group board by Susan D who is a lovely crochet blogger and pattern designer
- Learn to Crochet – a board especially for tutorials and videos for learning the craft
As you can see there are a number of ways you can spread your work with Pinterest. Most of the traffic I receive for my patterns comes from them.
Here’s how I use Pinterest: (p.s. no big secrets here)
I have boards for teaching crochet, crochet in the news, crochet, and crochet free patterns. As I go throughout my week I pin things to the various boards that I want to either make or reference in an upcoming article.

Open a Pinterest account. Build your boards by adding pins. Try using keywords from your blog to name your boards. This is useful for search engine placement.
