Test It – Try Before You Buy
Today is testing day. No, you’re not being tested on the material you learned in this challenge BUT you will test your product.
Patterns
Check for errors. Have someone else read the pattern to see if it makes sense. This is where pattern testers (crochet workers who try the pattern and give you feedback) come in handy.
Let people test your patterns in exchange for a free copy. This way you can get feedback and correct the pattern before it is published. It is also a great way to get photos of finished pieces from those who have worked it.
Reviews
Did you write an eBook? Ask for reviews. You want 5 – 10 reviews. Be sure you choose people wisely. Always get more people than you need because some won’t give you the review as life tends to get busy and they forget.
Shopping Cart
Test your shopping cart out. Does it charge appropriate shipping and taxes? Is the process easy for the customer? Have some trusted friends make mock orders in your shop. How do your descriptions read? Have you added the appropriate keywords in your title and description?
Marketing
Now is the time to set up tests for marketing. Add Google Analytics to your pages. Will you be partnering with other bloggers? Set up your campaign for your advertisers.
Products
Is your product ready to sell? Does it have the right tag? Washing instructions? Again, are all the ends hidden? Have you added all the accessories or appliques?
Today’s Assignment:
Test your product today. Have friends and family test it. If it is a written product have others read it checking for spelling, grammar and punctuation errors.
