Write It – Each Day You Need to Write Something
Even though you sell crochet you need to write almost daily for your blog or copy for your shop descriptions.
You also need to write for others blogs, article directories like Squidoo.com and Hubpages.com and, a couple of press releases to announce a new line for the Spring or Summer .
Be Everywhere Your Customer Is
To get traffic to your shop or crochet blog you need to be everywhere your customer is. Which blogs do your readers frequent? Offer to write a guest blog post.
If you have an Etsy shop you need to write your product descriptions with keywords.
Coming out with a new pattern or product? A product release sent to target blogs may increase the sales you receive at launch.
Other topics to blog about might be:
- Give little sneak peeks into what you’re doing and then a big reveal.
- Do your stitch and design research asking your readers for their opinions.
- Get buzz about your latest craft show by highlighting the pieces you are making.
- Crochet along using your patterns as well as a contest is one of the ways Stacey Trock of FreshStitches.com engages her readers and customers.
- Will one of your designs be published in a magazine? Share the excitement and the journey with your readers. Be sure to showcase the magazine once your pattern is published.
There are many topics to write about, it is just a matter of brainstorming what your readers and customers are interested in.
