Learning Crochet: A Hooded Scarf

This entry is part 6 of 19 in the series Learning Crochet

Today I’d like to share how to make a hooded scarf. I made one of these a couple of years ago [scoodie] but it was the sewn version. Since making that one there have been all sorts of free hooded scarf patterns both for knit and crochet.

You can check places like Ravelry, Crochetville, and even Squidoo. Look for keywords: scoodie, hooded scarf and pixie scarf.

I made the following Pixie hat from a pattern in a 80′s crochet magazine:

To make it into a scoodie – hooded scarf – I would just add the scarf to the area that has the ties.

Bobwilson123 on Youtube has a simple project “Scoodie – Scarf Cross a Hoodie“  which she shows you via video. It uses the half double crochet stitch and it is made in the backloops only.
