Today’s lesson with ‘Momwithahook’ is how to make a Puff stitch.
Puff stitch:

Yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop,(3loops on hook) [yarn over insert in same stitch, yarn over pull up a stitch]5-loops, [yarn over insert in same stitch, yarn over pull up a stitch]7-loops, yarn over, pull through all 7loops, sc to close stitch **Note this top stitch is where you will be crocheting into in future rows**

Here’s a video tutorial by Vicki Howell :

Try making Vicki’s Urban Slouchy Hat – I made it earlier this year and it turned out wonderfully. Super slouchy. She also has a technique to cinch up the top of the hat which is different than just weaving in and out – it actually looks more like a knitted cap cinch.
