Learning Crochet: The Seed Stitch

This entry is part 9 of 19 in the series Learning Crochet

How to Make a Seed Stitch

Today I’d like to share with you how to make a seed stitch in crochet. It’s quite an easy way to bring texture to your pieces without having to know more than a double crochet and single crochet.

I’m so thankful to all the ladies and men who have video skills because without them I wouldn’t have visuals to show you.

What can you make with this stitch?

  • hats
  • scarves
  • dish cloths
  • cowls
  • scrubbies
  • sweaters

I do a variation on this stitch. Instead of using a double crochet I like to use a half double crochet.

Try it out and let me know how you like this stitch.
