Writing Prompt: The top 5 people I follow on Twitter are ______. I enjoy their tweets because ________.
Twitter for me is still something I’m learning. The thing with twitter is that people quickly share (broadcast) things and then leave. I follow many etsy shop owners and bloggers as well as some mom blogs. I try to follow everyone back but that just clutters up my feed and I don’t see the people I really want.
Back in 2012 I opened a new twitter account for crochet business but it ended up being suspended. I was tweeting duplicate content – stuff on my momwithahook account and stuff on the new account. This is against Twitter’s terms. I did get the account unsuspended but by that time I already decided I only wanted to handle one account.
My son gave me some words of wisdom – don’t share links in every post you tweet. I try, really I do but it’s a habit that I’m finding hard to break. I try to share quotes, tips, and other useful things but I always end up broadcasting links, links, and more links without much engagement with my followers.
