Step Out of Your Comfort Zone – Midwest Crochet
In order to grow your business you need to take risks and that means you need to step out of your comfort zone.
I love reading about successful businesses like Midwest Crochet. Michelle, the owner of Midwest Crochet shares how she started her business, her tips for success and shares a bit about what she would do differently.
Just like many who own a crochet business, selling for Michelle started locally. It grew with support from her husband, her coworkers and a lot of hard work.
When my husband suggested that I start selling online, I wasn’t sure where to start. Then I remembered — I had purchased things on Etsy.
Take Aways:
- Have a business plan

- Get lots of advice
- Ask questions
- Market your business
- Have a business mindset
- Be personable
Have you Stepped Out of Your Comfort Zone for Your Business?
One day, I bravely stepped out of my comfort zone and contacted The Crochet Dude, a very successful crochet artisan.
Michelle didn’t know how to put all of her ideas into a pattern so she got the nerve to contact The Crochet Dude. Now she has a second Etsy shop where she sells patterns.
Are you Brave enough to go after your dream? When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone?
