This is great advice. I heard another tip for making sure you list remembers who you are – I haven’t tried it yet but it’s on my to-do list. Create a welcome video for your list and in their first email include the video. This will remind them how they got on your list and create a deeper connection because they can hear your voice and see your face.

    • Andrea, that is a great idea. I know I’ve seen that on some lists I’m on and it is definitely something that catches my attention. Thanks for the tip.

  2. Lisa, the tidbit about copying from Word is new to me so I thought I would add that because I’m sure many don’t know about the extra mess it causes.

  3. Thank you Sara. Now that you have me considering a newsletter…I needed this information too 🙂

    • Rhondda, you will find a newsletter or at least an email based RSS feed to your followers will help your business grow & put you in deeper contact with your customers.

  4. Thanks for the advice. This will really be useful to me and the numerous emails I receive and send everyday.

    • Lynne, that is great. Yes, the rules on email (sending) can get a bit daunting but it helps protect the sender from unwanted email. I know we still receive unwanted email but we can also report it as spam – at least we can pretend that it is actually doing something. 🙂 Seems though that there are more spammers than there are those who actively report them or NO, they have robots to do their work for them.
