{Social Media} Putting Your Face Out in the Crowd

Writing Prompt: Decide whether you’ll be using video for your business this year. Write a post explaining your decision.

Your marketing plan wouldn’t be complete without video. It is by far the fastest growing way to connect with your audience and show them what it is that you do.

Examples of Crochet Businesses with Active YouTube Accounts:

  • Teresa teaches as Crochet Geek. She is also the pioneer to teaching crochet via Youtube.
  • Hectanooga on Etsy – does little tutorials as well as uses it to drive traffic to her Etsy Shop
  • F.O.T.H.F. – Fresh off tha Hook Family is a vlogging crochet group started by Marcelle aka One Virtuous Woman.

You can video tape yourself using your camera phone, a camera or a web cam. If you’re too shy to show your face, try using Animoto to make 30-second commercials of your completed projects. For a paid account it is just $5/month.

For tips on Vlogging and how to create a better video take the 2-week eCourse by Vlogging Virgins.

Will you put your face on Youtube? Share your thoughts in the comments.
