Crochet Craft Booth Tips 4 of 5 (see tip 1, tip 2, and tip 3)
4. Clear Signage Makes for Happy Customers
When someone enters your little booth to view your items they want to ‘Buy Now’. eBay has a buy now option for those who want to cut to the chase and get what they want. No waiting. No hassle. Give this to your customers.
Clearly mark prices. The article by Danielle on Etsy pointed out Zooguu’s booth big “We accept credit cards” sign to highlight the fact that cash is not the only currency you take. (P.S. remember to have a QR code that invites your customer to be a fan on facebook or to join your happy customer list) Remember to listen in on the interview I did with Etsy seller Sheryl of Noadi as she talks a little about when the atm ran out of money at her show – her Square card reader helped her sales.
Check out this great DIY project by flickr user Lapscause. It looks like a crate from Michaels with legs. The huge red sign catches the eye and makes you want to look inside. Imagine having a bunch of amigurumi’s or hats in there?
Scroll through this post by Rancho Cocoa for great examples on signage. Signs for the Festivity Banners $6 – $26 – Clear prices on the felted art pieces $36 – Like the knitted leaves and paper circles as decorations – reversible felt crows $8 plus the last photo – pin cushions $6. For interaction and great clear signage check out the Decorate your own Acorn booth. {P.s. cute alpacas ahead} – That show was an excellent example of different vendors and how they presented their wares.
