There are many places to donate crocheted goods. Your local shelter and hospital are good places to start. If you are not located to any place near by here are ten places where you can mail your donations.

1. Hats Off For Cancer – use soft yarn that is machine washable, all sizes accepted

2. Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation – although all sorts of donations are accepted, hats for both adults and children can be donated. You can contact the representative for exact needs.

3. Head Huggers – one of the first organizations I was involved with – donates hats to cancer patients, lots of patterns for you to use as well.

4. Halos for Hope – just learned of this one earlier this year when I reviewed the book Chemo Caps and Wraps, this books has many patterns for you to use. You can donate any number of caps (1 – 1,000+). You can either mail directly to them in Illinois or look to see if there is a drop off center near you.

5. Warmth for Warriors – hats can be donated to soldiers serving in Afghanistan. Wool yarn only in dark colors – see website for exact details.
