3 Reasons Why You Need a Mailing List
1. Connect More Deeply with Your Audience
An email list allows you to connect more intimately with your readers/customers. Yes, there is Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. but all of these are quick bites.
You want to share your mission, your dreams, and yourself with your readers and one way to do that is with an email list.
Not all of your fans will interact on social media or even read your blog on a regular basis. An email list makes it easy to update them when you update your blog or when you have a special announcement to make.
2. A Backup Plan
Many of you know I lost my blogger blog earlier this year. This happened during my January Blogging Challenge so I am super grateful I had my participants on an email list.
I was able to let them know what was going on and direct them to my new blog.
If you are using Social Media as your sole connection with your customers I recommend setting up a newsletter so that just incase FB or Twitter shuts down your account (a reality for some) you still have access to all your fans.
3. Increase Sales
Your readers LOVE you. Yes, they really do. Be proud of that fact and let them know about what is going on with you and your business. They signed up for your email list because they want you to tell them these things.

Nurturing leads happens within email lists. This is also known as building a relationship with your fans. Check out more statistics on the Hubspot article: Nurturing Leads

I just set one up for my blog today! It’s a much easier form of outreach to everyone. Thanks for sharing, Sara!
Michelle, that is great. I find email easier to reach everyone too.
I think I may look into this newsletter option…
Thanks Rhondda
