Wow, it’s been a rough ride for my family and I this past April and May. We’re back on track and I’m healing more each day. Keeping busy has helped but I think what really helped was the support and prayers of family and friends. (Including my online friends)

Let’s Get Started:

Today you can get a feel for what this challenge is going to be like as I tried hosting it in April. (Challenge Syllabus) I had to transfer it to this blog but it’s up and ready for you to tackle it this summer.
If you have the finances to start your blog on a hosted account using Word Press I highly recommend doing that. My Hosting Company is MomWebs and they’ll install WordPress for you. It runs about $10 – $20 per month and will save you a lot of steps in the long run.

If I had the funds coming in I would be doing that right now. (Note: This was written on blogger in 7/2012 and in 1/2013 Google deleted my blog because it was tagged as spam. Go Grab a self-hosted website before you invest your time on a free blog. )

It’s okay to use a free blog platform like blogspot.com or wordpress.com but know that it’s important to read the terms of use completely. It is also wise to note that the content, even though you state it belongs to you, can be taken down at any moment without notification to you. ALWAYS, backup your blog.

Daily Assignments:
To get you started I created a calendar that will help you complete each assignment for the day. You can download it off of Scribd.com for free.
July 2012: 31 Days of Crochet Blogging
Today is all about setting goals for your blog and crochet business. What financial goals do you have? What traffic goals do you strive for? Put these down in writing and keep them in view throughout this challenge.
If your blog is already set up and ready to go I recommend you take the Ultimate Blog Challenge which is happening this month. Each day you’ll receive a topic to blog about and the two Michelle’s are both fantastic business bloggers – you’ll learn a lot of great stuff from them.

What do want to get out of this 31 day challenge?
