Write a post inviting your readers to connect with you. Show them how by pointing out where they can find your social media buttons and/or contact form.
In order for me to write this post I had to do some searching on Google for some social media icons for this blog. (referring to the blogger blog – this blog I use shareaholic plugin) How can I tell you to be sure to connect with your readers when I didn’t have a set of my own?
Oh, my, there are so many choices – coffee, owls, paper, grunge, techno, lego inspired, etc. How is a girl to choose?
I found the set I’m using from NiftyButtons.com. For those on blogger you can grab the code and add it into a gadget. Those on WordPress will grab the code and add it to a widget or you can follow this tutorial by Michelle Shaeffer.

I love how many cute social networking icons are out there now! I think my favorites personally are still the coffee cups and every time I see them I have the urge to redo my website so I can use them… LOL
