Supplies:

H hook

Red Heart Worsted Medium 4ply colors: pumpkin and green

Stitch markers

Tapestry Needle for sewing

Both – work in both loops

SC – Single crochet

HDC – Half double crochet

DC – Double crochet

Dc2tog – double crochet 2 stitches together aka ‘decrease’

Sc2tog – single crochet 2 stitches together aka ‘decrease’

Make 2

Chain 25

1: 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 2 turn (24hdc)

Working in Back Loops Only (blo)

2: 1 hdc in each stitch across, ch2, turn (24hdc)

Repeat row 2 seventeen more times, end off last row leaving a long tail

 

Assembly:

Place each piece on the pot and mark with stitch markers the Top and the Bottom of the Spout and the

Handle.

Sew the Top (spout and handle) and Bottom (spout and handle) closed.

Take a length of yarn and weave into the top (last row) in and out and cinch closed. Sew remaining hole

closed.


Leaves and Stem:

Ch5, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across [stem]

1: Ch3, sl st in first ch made to form a circle [*]

2: ch3, 3dc in circle, ch3 turn

3: 1 dc in each stitch across, ch3 turn

4: 2dc in first stitch, 1 dc in next 3 stitches, 2dc in last stitch (top of t-ch), ch 3, turn

5: Skip first stitch, 1dc in next stitch, dc2tog, 1dc in next stitch, dc2tog, 1dc in last stitch (top of t-ch), ch3,

turn

6: skip first stitch, dc2tog*(twice), ch3 turn

7: dc2tog, dc2tog, ch1, turn

 

[Cork screw small]

sl st in ‘circle’ made in row1 [*], ch 12, 5dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across, sl st to ‘circle’ made

in row1 [*],

 

[cork screw large]

ch 20, 5hdc in 3rdch from hook and in each ch across, sl st to ‘circle’ made in row1 [*], end off

Sew this to the top of your ‘Pumpkin’.
