Writing Prompt: In 2013 I will post __ days a week. I’ll participate in ___ linkys and ___ challenges. Topics I will write about are ___.
Last year I developed an editorial calendar for my crochet blog. I intended to stick to it but it didn’t work out. Things happened and I
pretty much gave up on my plan.
Why am I telling you this? Making an editorial calendar and sticking to one are two entirely different things. My advice – Stick to it. You will be rewarded.

How Do You Make an Editorial Calendar?
- Grab a calendar
- Mark important dates like linky’s and blog challenges (crochet month in March)
- Decide whether you’ll be writing based on holidays, seasons, projects or other theme
- Market the days you’ll be posting to the blog (M, W, F) with sample titles and 1 – 2 sentences about what your post will be about.
If you do this for each month in 2013 you’ll have an easier time sticking to a blogging schedule. You’ll have titles done, ideas done, and content based on challenges and linkys done. See how much content you already have?
