Writing Prompt: Write a post with your plans for offering ads on your blog. Will you offer advertising? Why? Give details on how your readers or potential advertisers can contact you.
Remember this post where I talk about the Six Sisters Stuff eBook 10 Ways to Make Money Blogging? In that eBook they go into
creating a Media Kit. This kit includes your blog stats, your traffic, your reader demographics etc. This is what you need to have ready for potential advertisers and/or sponsors.
First thing you need to be clear on is whether you can advertise on your blog? Check out terms for both Blogger and WordPress.com to see if it is legal. If you pay for hosting aka a Self-Hosted blog, you can do whatever you want with your blog real estate.
Second, learn about your traffic. Why would someone want to advertise on your blog? Just starting out? Maybe an ad swap with a complementary blog will be better until you grow.
Third, you need to figure out what types of ads to offer on your blog. Will you use Google adsense? If you have the traffic then use this option. Will you use text ads? Affiliate ads?
Finally, how many ads will you accept? Will accept just anyone who gives you money? How do your readers feel about your ads? Will advertising on your blog interfere with you blogs focus? i.e. you want to focus on your shop – ads to other shops might not be the best option
Will you accept advertisers on your blog in 2013? Why or Why Not?

This challenge has been a truly wonderful experience for me! It was my “birth” into the wonderful world of blogging !! Prior to the challenge I had attempted to blog before, but never followed through. This challenge has helped me to get over the apprehension I had about my ability to blog, and has set me well on my way. I have met some wonderful people, and learned a wealth of information! I wish each and every participant much success, and believe me… I will frequent all of your blogs often!
And last but not least … Thank-You Sara!!
